Warabi City Centre

Saitama LIVE --:--:-- JST

About the Warabi City Centre Camera

This camera is run by Warabi Cable Vision, the local cable station, and looks over the centre of Warabi in Saitama — a genuinely local feed rather than a tourist one.

Warabi has an unusual distinction: it is the smallest city by area in Japan, at just over five square kilometres, and one of the most densely populated. The entire city is walkable in well under an hour, and the townscape on camera reflects that — low-rise, close-packed, and residential right up to the station.

It sits on the Keihin-Tohoku Line about twenty minutes from central Tokyo, which makes it a commuter town, but the shopping streets around the station have kept an independent character that larger suburbs have mostly lost. The Warabi Hataori Festival in summer is the main event in the local calendar.
