Suzaka Namiki-dori

This is the second Suzaka camera on the site, pointed at Namiki-dori — the avenue whose name simply means the tree-lined street.

Where the other Suzaka feed gives a general view of the town and basin, this one is at street level, framed on the road itself. That makes it the more useful of the two for practical purposes: traffic, road surface, whether snow is lying, and how the town is moving at any hour.

The trees are the point of the street. They carry the season plainly — bare through the northern Nagano winter, in leaf from late spring, and turning through October — so the same frame reads very differently depending on when you look at it.
